Aesthetics – Indoor vs Outdoor

 The majority of people who hear the word metal immediately think of barns and commercial shops.  Thankfully, we have come a long way and those days are dwindling.  We are seeing more metal on commercial businesses in a design aspect.  Panel styles of adapted, as well as colour options.  Metal can be used on any building, whether it is a small residential home, an oversized apartment complex, or even a grocery store!

 Rather than the typical wavy corrugated or boxy industrial rib styles, there are now many different panel styles, including sleek hidden fastener options.  Currently, one of the most popular options is a basic woodgrain panel.  Many designers love the look of the woodgrains because it replaces the high maintenance option of real wood siding.

Metal is only going to continue to grow in popularity.  The more that architects and designers learn about the durability and various options available to them, the more they will add them to their building designs.

We have noticed an escalation in colour choices over the last few years.  Ten years ago there were a handful of premium woodgrain and metallic colour options.  Five years ago, there were a dozen.  Today?  There is a dozen woodgrain options, a dozen metallic options, and a growing variety of other premium choices!  And this is just from the most basic of suppliers.  Speciality producers are continuously looking for exciting new options.
